1. Do you agree or disagree with the quote, “Expect nothing and you’ll never be disappointed.” Explain why.
Yes I agree. if we keep expectations low, we aren't disappointed but we also need to set goals for ourselves and have standards too. So, it is a mixed bag.
2. Do you believe that culture influences parental expectations of their children?
 You bet!  For sure.
3. Do you believe expectations enhance your life experience? Why?
Sure. We need expectations to set goals and work towards a better life for ourselves.
4. Do you think expectations assist you in the unfolding of your life or do they justify your unhappiness?
We need REASONABLE expectations. Perhaps that is the key. They need to be doable and make sense for us given our skills and desires.
5. In an article Manifest Desires Freely by Having No Expectations by Enoch Tan, states that “When you have expectations, you have preconceived ideas of how things should be that you are attached to. Expectation creates fear because you think what you desire may or may not happen.” Do you think having no expectations in life is ever dangerous?
Yes.
6. If we have no self expectations- can we become lazy, only giving minimum effort towards life because we become happy with a C?
Yes, indeed. We need incentives and motivators for sure.
7. Expectations are said to enhance our life. Do you think pessimists expecting the worst is dangerous? Or do you think it is helpful because the outcome is usually better than what they expected?
Optimists have better health outcomes (physical and mental). So, pessimism is really not a useful or healthy way to be.
